Internet ETFs - Giving You Access to the Internet

List of Internet ETFs

By

Did Al Gore invent the Internet? We’ll never know, but what we do know is that a lot of ETF providers are now inventing Internet ETFs.

There’s no doubt that while the Internet has been around for a few years, it truly is still in infancy. Every day more and more .com’s are being added to the web and more and more entrepreneurs are creating virtual companies. Sounds like an emerging market to me.

So it only makes sense that these companies are being publicly listed and traded on stock exchanges. And once we have a few stocks in a sector, we can build and index, then comes the ETF.

As of now, there are Internet ETFs for social media and cloud computing, another set of industries in their infancy. There are even ETFs for Internet companies that have recently IPO’ed. Just as the web never ends, neither does the creativity of Internet ETF providers.

So if you want to add a little “web” to your portfolio, here are some ETFs that might help your strategy. And I’m sure as the Internet grows, so will this list…

  • EIPO - ETRACS Next Generation Internet ETN
  • FDN - First Trust Dow Jones Internet Index ETF
  • KWEB - KraneShares CSI China Internet ETF
  • LSKY - ETRACS Monthly 2xLeveraged ISE Cloud Computing Total Return Index ETN
  • PNQI - PowerShares NASDAQ Internet ETF
  • SOCL - Global X Social Media Index ETF
  • LSKY - ETRACS Monthly 2xLeveraged ISE Cloud Computing Total Return Index ETN
  • SKYY - First Trust ISE Cloud Computing Index Fund
