IGV - a Technology and Software Industry ETF

By Mark Kennedy, About.com

Definition:

IGV, the iShares S&P North Amer Tech-Software ETF, tracks the price of the S&P Goldman Sachs Technology Industry Software Index.

The industry ETF invests in mostly securities in the correlating index, but may invest small percentages of its assets in stocks not included in the index as well. However, it is believed that these other stocks will help the ETF track its correlating index better. From time to time, the ETF will also consist of futures contracts, options on futures contracts, options, swaps, cash and cash equivalents.

The ETF investing style for this fund is Medium / Growth.
