Invesco exchange-traded funds (ETFs) were formerly known as PowerShares ETFs. In 2018, that brand name was phased out. What was once known as Invesco PowerShares Capital Management now goes by the name of Invesco Ltd., an Atlanta-based global investment management firm since June 2018. As of the fourth quarter of 2021, Invesco had $1.6 trillion in assets under management (AUM), per the latest data reports released in early 2022.

Investors who buy Invesco ETFs are often looking for funds that track a certain stock index other than a broad market index. For example, the company’s largest ETF Invesco QQQ, as measured by total market value, tracks the NASDAQ 100 Index.

What Are Invesco ETFs?

The former PowerShares ETFs were first developed by a firm of the same name that was founded in 2002. They have been a part of Invesco since 2006. These ETFs include a wide range of funds in diverse categories, including U.S. equity, international equity, sector equity, hedged equity, and commodities.

Note

Invesco officially acquired Guggenheim Investments’ ETFs in 2018, and OppenheimerFunds in 2019.

Top 25 Invesco ETFs

There are more than 200 funds on the complete list of Invesco funds. Some of the former PowerShares ETFs are still part of this list, and they invest in many asset types and securities. For a good introduction to the Invesco ETFs lineup, you can review a list of the largest funds in the group, as measured by total market value.

Note

Seeing a list of a company’s highest-asset funds may also offer a glimpse into what other investors may be buying and holding.

Here are the top 25 Invesco ETFs, including former PowerShares funds, in terms of market value as of early March 2022, rounded to the nearest million. The list also gives each ETF’s ticker symbol, its total expense ratio, and the underlying index that it tracks.
