New Leveraged Equity ETFs

Friday July 3, 2009

ETF Securities is an ETF provider in the United Kingdom known for its popular commodity ETFs. However, they have now decided to grow in the equity sector with new leveraged ETFs.

The new ETFs will trade on the London Exchange and give investors twice the leveraged exposure to indexes like the DAX, the Euro STOXX 50, and the FTSE 100.

ETF Securities doesn't plan on stopping there, either. They want to expand their market share to the U.S. and Canada as well as increase the ETFs in their product line. Since leveraged equity ETFs are new to Britain, but not the United States or Canada, this is a good step towards accomplishing their expansion goals.

Here are the 2x leveraged equity ETFs that ETF Securities offers

  • ETFS CAC 40 2x Short Fund
  • ETFS FTSE 100 Super Short Strategy (2x) Fund
  • ETFS Dow Jones EURO STOXX 50 Double Short (2x) Fund
  • ETFS Dow Jones EURO STOXX 50 Double Short (2x) Fund
  • ETFS DAX 2x Short Fund
  • ETFS DAX 2x Short Fund
  • ETFS CAC 40 2x Long Fund
  • ETFS FTSE 100 Leveraged (2x) Fund
  • ETFS Dow Jones EURO STOXX 50 Leveraged (2x) Fund
  • ETFS Dow Jones EURO STOXX 50 Leveraged (2x) Fund
  • ETFS DAX 2x Long Fund
  • ETFS DAX 2x Long Fund
